Job Type: Dredging of new channel and basin for Passenger Ferry and Barge access

Job Duration: Started June 2009 and Currently in progress

Job Location: Rumah Baru, Cocos (Keeling) Islands (West Island)

Job report: Gendredge have been engaged to execute dredging works vital to the construction of the new Passenger and Freight Terminal. Works include the Cutting and Dredging of the new Channel and Basin.

Mobilisation and Minor Dredging works commenced in June 2009, with our Wheel Dredge “GEN 004” arriving in December, to remove the higher volumes required for 2010.

Gendredges’ proven capability as a specialist pump hire provider has also proven valuable throughout the project.
